I read the novel The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time. This book is written by Mark Haddon. There is only one book, and there is no sequel to it. The main character is Christopher, an autistic boy whose perspective the book follows. He is really observant, and a lot smarter than most people see him to be. This is a really unique book since it is written by an autistic boy’s view.
The main character in this book is named Christopher. He is an autistic boy and the book is written in his perspective. He lives with only his dad, because he is lead to believe that his mom is dead. One night, Christopher was out for a walk, when he saw his neighbour’s dog, dead on their lawn. He really likes dogs, so he wanted to find out who did this. Throughout the book, he does some detective work to found out what happened to this dog. But as the story progresses, Christopher finds out a big secret that his dad has been keeping from him.
I really liked this book, I thought it was really unique. Since it is written from Christopher’s point of view, he doesn’t understand most situations, so he tells it exactly how it happened. The story is very interesting, although most of the action happens in between the middle and the end, rather than all of the action at the end of the book. Another cool thing about this book is that Christopher likes prime numbers, so the chapters are all prime numbers. Overall I think it is a really good book, and I would definitely recommend it to someone.
